Systematic Mobilisation for Higher-Risk Premises
A critical vulnerability exists during the transition window when a tenant vacates and incoming security contractors take over. Without a formal, evidence-backed handover procedure, unauthorised occupation can occur before preventative measures are fully deployed.
The Critical Handover Protocol
- Pre-Mobilisation Site Reconnaissance: Prior to handover day, H&T operational supervisors walk the perimeter with the client representative to document baseline property conditions, utility isolation points, and neighbouring environmental factors.
- Immediate Lock Replacement: Never assume keys returned by outgoing occupiers are exhaustive. Master keys, subcontractor duplicates, or unauthorised copies frequently circulate. Immediate cylinder re-keying into our secure key safe is essential.
- Perimeter Hardening & Signage: Before nightfall on day zero, warning boards must be affixed to all gates and conspicuous vantage points, legally establishing that the premises are under active monitoring and controlled access.
- Establishing Baseline Verification Checkpoints: Installing tamper-evident RFID/NFC checkpoint tags across internal circulation routes ensures every subsequent patrol officer is geographically verified during each physical check.
